SSMA connectors, micro-miniature screw-on connectors, operate in the DC to 34 GHz frequency range. Introduced in 1960, they offer superior performance compared to SMA connectors, particularly due to their reduced size. Standardized according to MIL-STD-348, figure 319, they are mainly used for the maintenance of existing equipment.
