Fixed Attenuators

Fixed power attenuators effectively regulate the power of a radio signal to protect sensitive equipment such as receivers or measuring devices. Available in several versions, they cover power ranges from 1W to several kW, with passive (radiator) or active (fan, fluid) cooling. Some models, such as those from BIRD Technologies offered by HYTEM, use oil cooling, which is ideal for high power levels thanks to its thermal stability and durability.

These attenuators are essential when transmitters deliver power well above that of downstream equipment. For example, a 30 dB attenuator is required to protect a handover simulator limited to +24 dBm from a 50 dBm signal. HYTEM offers a wide range of products adapted to different needs: power levels, frequency bands, connectors (e.g., N/NEX-10), and low PIM versions for low intermodulation environments.
